Trend Micro is headquartered in Tokyo and has deeper domestic channel relationships and brand trust in Japan FSI than any foreign cybersecurity vendor. Their platform spans endpoint detection, cloud security, and threat intelligence. Trend Micro does not operate a managed SOC service in the same way as NRI Secure or NTT Security — their business model is platform and product, supported through channel and distribution partners. For foreign vendors, Trend Micro is more complement than competitor: the spaces where Trend Micro is strong (endpoint, cloud workload, email) are different from where global agentic SOC vendors are competing.
