Macnica is the most effective distribution channel for international security vendors entering Japan. Unlike the large SIers, Macnica’s technical sales teams have genuine depth in the products they carry — they can run substantive technical conversations with Japan FSI security teams, not just deliver a vendor pitch. Macnica is selective about what it adds to its portfolio, which means that being included carries credibility. The trade-off is margin and some loss of message control. For most international vendors, this trade-off is worth making.
